As Principal Strategist, Go-To-Market Strategy you will...

Play an integral role in coordinating, executing, and scaling all go-to-market activities across Roundel. You will lead project teams comprised of enterprise partners, business strategists, and product managers, applying your strengths in project and stakeholder management, strategy development, and executive engagement to shape Roundel's long term strategic direction.

A successful candidate will be an integral member of the Roundel Strategy and Business Planning team, specifically reporting to the leader of the Go-To-Market Strategy team.

Job Duties:

  • Build an understanding of retail trends, competitors, and consumers to develop new concepts and businesses that meet future needs in the fast-evolving multi-channel retail media landscape.
  • Partner with Product and Go-To-Market leadership (Director-level plus) to drive strategic integration between Roundel business and product functions - from product strategy development all the way through to end-to-end activation
  • Drive Roundel's relationship with Target Site Merchandising Leadership, inclusive of developing a robust engagement model between the two organizations and establishing key operating routines to grow this partnership.
  • Become a strategic thought partner to senior executives in Roundel and broader Target, influencing decisions in line with business unit and enterprise strategy.
  • Build relationships to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively influence without authority to drive business decisions and advance long-term strategic efforts.


  • Project manage the coordination and collaboration with partners across teams to maximize strategic impact of work.
  • Provide day to day guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to project team members.
  • Serve as a member of the Strategy, Planning and Ops team, proactively identifying and championing opportunities to improve business and team experiences, resources, and development.
  • Champion continuous team improvement including advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, fostering connections and relationships across the enterprise, and demonstrating individual drive and initiative.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Strategy & Operations, Sales Strategy & Operations, Digital Media Sales/Account Management, Management Consulting, or equivalent experience in an organization
  • An understanding of industry media practices and the competitive retail media and technology landscape across channels and segments


  • Experience developing business-wide growth strategy in a $1B+ business
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic project work, simultaneously managing working team, partner, and senior executive relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement process and solve executional challenges at scale - across a 500+ person organization
  • Track record of developing critical stakeholder relationships (VP/SVP-level) to influence and guide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience leading and/or coaching project teams, demonstrating a structured approach to problem solving and managing team resources to deliver on key objectives
