As a CI Lead Process Manager in Field Operations, you will create process and management system alignment that compliments standardization and drives better business results in all departments and node types. You will champion our Continuous Improvement culture, act as a high-impact leader, influencer and change agent. You will mentor, influence, and coach leaders and business partners to ensure successful deployment of Management System routines and tools, and alignment of continuous improvement principles, concepts, and methodologies. In partnership with building leaders, you will work to identify, prioritize, and lead through change improvement opportunities for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, capacity & team. You will act as a thought partner and collaborate on the architecture of Management System and the Continuous Improvement program. Train teammates and leaders on Continuous Improvement methods, both in formalized settings and stop-and-teach at Gemba. You will drive Management System Routines implementation, optimization, adherence, and finally sustainment.

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years field operations experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in structured problem solving tools required (8-step problem solving, Statistical Process Control, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standardized Work, Visual Management etc.)
  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence while working in cross functional teams
  • Proven strength in problem solving and advanced data/ statistical analysis
  • Project management skills including scoping, problem statements, goal definition, and timeline management
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, time management, presentation, and organizational skills with the ability to handle changing priorities and use of good judgement in stressful situations
  • Able to access all areas of the DC, including mezzanine platforms
  • Experience managing multiple, complex initiatives at one time
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with limited direction
  • Knowledge of various parts of supply chain (logistics, distribution) or retail segments (apparel, food) preferred
  • Enjoys detailed work and communicating updates to various levels of leaders
  • Application of Continuous Improvement principles in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred.
  • The successful candidate should be energetic, motivated and forward thinking with high ethical standards and the appropriate professional demeanor and presence.
  • Experience deploying Quality Management System and obtaining ISO/Third Party Certification is a plus
  • This position requires extensive travel (approximately 50% post-covid environment) and personal commitment.


Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
