PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Work Location: Work from Home or Office for Your Day

Position Description

This position is responsible for production duties of print and digital product marketing materials and integrated campaign assets. Implement and maintain organizational brand standards in print, digital, presentations and other communication materials. Work closely with the Marketing Team by being accountable for best practices in design, production, business partner review and speed to market.

• Take over projects for the production phase of print and digital marketing materials including UCare member, prospect, provider, and media communications for various clients across the organization. Deliver error-free files and create 508 compliant files while maintaining consistency across all media. Prepare print- and web-ready files, determine specs, work with print vendors and agencies, review proofs, version assets, work with translated documents, image retouching and converting.

• Collaborate with the Design Team to implement and maintain brand and graphic standards and quality across all media, assist with updates and ensure brand standards are followed organization wide. Serve as back-up for Design Team as needed. Create assets such as icons, illustrations, etc., as requested. Collaborate across the organization and prioritize and execute workload to meet stakeholder deadlines.

• Manage asset library and lead implementation of content management system for the Design Team, including taxonomy and governance for talent and photos used and edited versions.

• Support the communications function through continuous improvement of processes to best serve the customer.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field preferred. Portfolio demonstrating strong design and production skills and at least three years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three or more years of experience with production design of a variety of print and digital materials in a Mac + PC environment. Ability to implement usability principles, accessibility and 508 requirements to create accessible PDFs and fillable forms. Knowledge of design processes, ability to design within brand guidelines and should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft programs. Expert in style sheets and experience with content management systems. Pre-press experience including preflight, color profiles, resolution, issue troubleshooting, etc.

Strong attention to detail and eye for consistency to deliver error-free work. Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills including knowledge of AP style and great use of grammar, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience in and understanding of health care industry and managed care. Working understanding of HTML for email development and CSS for web design.
