A role in Finance Capabilities means partnering with Finance, technology, data science and analytics leaders to co-create solutions that maximizes business value and enables key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly an owner and expert of your product and underlying processes, you will set the vision, align on the roadmap and mobilize teams to deliver needed outcomes. Given most strategies have a Finance impact, you will also serve as a trusted resource to guide other enterprise partners in their solutions to ensure the success and integrity of end-to-end deliverables.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work to support the capabilities (people, process, and technology) assigned.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for the Core Finance system - SAP S/4 HANA. You will need to leverage the knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, as well as business feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead SAP S/4 HANA upgrade for your assigned capability in Finance and work in unison with engineers, data scientists and business partners to deliver the product.

You will be the "voice of the product" to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you:

  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of product management working with SAP S/4 HANA technologies in the Finance space with proven ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • SAP S/4 HANA implementation experience with expertise in the following business functions is highly desired - Group Reporting, Treasury, Project systems, Fixed assets, Universal Journal adoption, internal & external financial reporting
  • Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs and driving business outcomes
  • Expert problem-solving, critical thinking, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$105,800.00 USD - $190,400.00 USD.
