About us:

As a Fortune 50 company with more than 350,000 team members worldwide, Target is an iconic brand and one of America's leading retailers.

Working at Target means the opportunity to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. Caring for our communities is woven into who we are, and we invest in the places we collectively live, work and play. We prioritize relationships, fuel and develop talent by creating growth opportunities, and succeed as one Target team. At our core, our purpose is ingrained in who we are, what we value, and how we work. It's how we care, grow, and win together.

Target as a tech company? Absolutely. We're the behind-the-scenes powerhouse that fuels Target's passion and commitment to cutting-edge innovation. We anchor every facet of one of the world's best-loved retailers with a strong technology framework that relies on the latest tools and technologies-and the brightest people-to deliver incredible value to guests online and in stores. Target Tech is on a mission to offer the systems, tools and support that guests and team members need and deserve. Our high-performing teams balance independence with collaboration, and we pride ourselves on being versatile, agile and creative. As a Stores Mobile UI Engineer, you will work on our exciting Stores Mobile app called "myDay." The myDay app is used by all team members in stores to receive, create, execute, and inform about tasks related to practically all activities in the stores. This includes all the easy to see things, like knowing when to restock shelves, ordering groceries, and moving things around when displays change. It also includes the subtext and harder to see things, like inventory control, managing expiring items, and even logging when cleaning and other events happen. We do this all on a native Android Kotlin application, on a device we control, leveraging numerous Enterprise systems and APIs to provide rich data through a consistent and user-first designed interface. Our team is diverse and inclusive, remote and local, with things to learn and experiences to share.

As a Lead Engineer on the Stores Mobile UI team you will:
Help define and drive the engineering culture and project direction of our myDay app and team. You will have input on, and participate in the ownership of, the software development lifecycle, and partner with our data and infrastructure peers to ensure a comprehensive and robust environment for the success of our application. You will help in the development and growth of the other engineers on the team, striving for high levels of code quality, integrity, and reliability. As a member of the team's leadership group, you will have influence over one of the most crucial applications developed at Target for our team members.
