A role in Global Inventory Management (GIM) means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You'll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you'll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

As a Senior Inventory Operations Analyst - Process and Innovation, you'll leverage your strong Inventory Management system knowledge to help develop and tailor inventory strategies to support the total Inventory Management organization. Partner with teams across the company to deliver key initiatives in order to best support stores, guests, and core IM teams. Create IM processes to support new technology rollouts across IPC, IMA, SCMD, etc. Promote IM Processes through strong system skills, process knowledge and partnership with IM, IM Ops and broader GSCL. Drive business improvement by developing, training, implementing, and documenting strategies. Influence and drive the development of new initiatives and business solutions across the company. Partner directly with IPC, GTL, S&OP, OBSD, ICQA, TTS, Target in India, OI and more to establish company-wide expectations and processes inclusive of the Inventory Management teams. About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Target Supply Chain or Merchandising roles
  • Working understanding of Target Inventory Management replenishment systems
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Curiosity with a desire to learn and innovate
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently to prioritize and take action
  • Flexibility & resiliency; comfortable working in 'grey areas' that are constantly changing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$65,600.00 USD - $118,100.00 USD.
