Here, your work directly supports the store mission to be the guest favorite through successfully developing and communicating the processes for operations, style and experience, new structures, new operating models and new technology, and utilizing workforce management activities for our 1,800 locations nationwide. Store Operations manages and enhances the informational resources for researching and resolving operational issues, while guiding and communicating with the field team and leaders who use them. A role within Process Operations means a big opportunity to leverage operational experience, process design and insights to create strategies that fuel processes like inventory replenishment, setting product, signing, pricing and backroom organization keeping stores in stock to drive guest engagement by ensuring they find what they are looking for (and more).

As a Director Store Operations - Price, Set and Sign, you will build, lead, coach, and mentor a team of business partners and engineers that will bring their expertise to increase ease for our team members in stores while setting, signing and pricing products. The key areas of focus include: driving continuous improvement and future vision for price, set and sign, scaling up and evolving the significance of price accuracy in stores, influencing across the enterprise to improve data, technology, systems and processes to improve price, sign set processes and accuracy for our guests and team members.

In this role:
  • You and your team will lead stores in building, testing and scaling price, set and sign processes in stores.
  • You will influence enterprise partners to drive upstream process improvements that improve process efficiency and price accuracy in stores.
  • You will collaborate across enterprise teams to ensure integration and coordination of price and set strategies.
  • You will partner with Target Tech to implement systems that help us better set, price and sign in stores.
  • You will partner with Compliance, Inventory Accounting, HR, Finance, HQ and field leaders to operationalize and improve a price set and sign processes.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of leadership experience, preferably in retail, stores or supply chain
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including ability to negotiate, manage differing points of view, understand key stakeholder needs at all levels and influencing senior level leadership
  • Experience in developing a long term vision, leading organizational change management along with implementing short term solutions that simplify store processes.
  • Proven ability to lead by empowering team members through developing, teaching/training and coaching
  • Proven ability to develop and implement process and design strategies that address root cause process and price accuracy issues
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Comfortable in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
  • Experience supporting stores and/or a field organization desired
  • MBA desired


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$119,500.00 USD - $215,100.00 USD.
