A role with Target Visual means an opportunity to shape how our guests experience presentations inside our stores. You'll drive the success of both forward-thinking projects, and best practices, that have a global impact on Visual activities. Bring your exceptional skills to design presentations with purpose, that are relevant, inspiring, and connected, to delight the guest and drive growth. Here, you'll balance art and science as you oversee the curation of presentations throughout the store.

As a Sr Visual Stylist, you will be responsible for division apparel styling concepts that will set the tone for brand and category styling and high-level styling content direction. You will lead process management, trend + brand styling synergy. You will develop and socialize knowledge of pyramid strategy, macro trends, and division priorities to influence concepts, guest focused content development and versioning. As a Sr. Stylist within Visual, success factors will include building and fostering relationships by leading division wide styling concept and direction, aligning with leaders to influence cross functionally to drive brand elevation across stores in service of the guest. You will work specifically with Own-Brand Design and Merchandising on developing seasonal styling priorities that ladder back to pyramid strategy and alignment. You will create key themes that synthesize business objectives for partners, maintain competitive advantage against market trends / retail fashion landscape, and influence styling direction for total apparel pyramid each season. You will be responsible for socialization and discussion of key looks for their respective divisions in broadly attended cross-functional milestones, including division line review, marketing alignment, store experience leader review, and cross-functional leader review.

You will foster team dynamic through individual investment (technical, transferrable, and expandable skills). You will reinforce priorities and participate in cultural initiatives for personal development. You will set in store and travel as needed to experience presentation execution in store and continually evolve. The exciting part of retail? It's always changing! About you:

  • 3-5 years of Styling or Visual Merchandising and corporate headquarters experience with in-store retail knowledge.
  • Proven Styling experience (portfolio required).
  • Cultural awareness, competitive analysis, and knowledge/understanding of current trends.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage relationships with team and key business partners.

  • Excellent communicator - ability to present to large groups of people, manage cross functional projects and strong organization skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to stay on top of multiple projects with varying priority deadlines, ability to work quickly and stay calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Preferred: 4-year college degree in Visual Merchandising, Art, Design, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
