In this role, you will be responsible for scoping and negotiating all agency fees and develop (in partnership with law) supporting legal contacts for marketing creative and strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for benchmarking the organization's best practices against the industry through gap analysis, roadmap development for improvements and building business cases for improvements in the areas of working models and negotiations strategies. As a Strategic Partnerships buyer for our external creative and strategic partners, you will need to hold partners accountable to delivering their work product, connect work across teams and remove roadblocks that could impact goals and objectives. You understand agency capabilities and fee structure in order to effectively negotiate and contract with agency partners to concept and execute on-brand marketing projects. Participates in annual planning process to align agency partners and respective budgets to bodies of work across the Marketing organization specifically for Brand and Category Marketing, Store Experience Marketing, and Packaging / Brand development. Manage annual multi-million dollar agency fee budget and forecast throughout the year. Responsible for writing and negotiating scope of work agreements. Works cross functionally to monitor scope execution and proactively engages internal and external partners to problem solve when needed. Develops strong connections with agency and internal partners to foster hardworking and positive relationships. Influence process changes that unlocks agency efficiencies. Performance manage agency partners and internal teams so we are getting the best output from our partners.
Requirements
This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$65,600.00 USD - $118,100.00 USD. Requirements
- 4-year college degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in business, media or advertising industry
- Strong leadership skills in relationship management (internal/external) and experience leading and influencing cross functional teams
- Understanding/ability to learn, agency staff resource planning
- Experience in negotiating contracts and pricing
- Experience/interest in the creative agency landscape
- High financial acumen in budget management
- Highly developed, concise and direct communication, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Self-starter, flexible, resilient and comfortable working in "grey areas" that are constantly changing
- Ability to anticipate and solve complex problems and come to resolutions quickly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as other equivalent programs
