DUTIES
The RN-Assisted Living position is responsible for assisting the RN Manager with the responsibility of total resident care for apartment and assisted living residents. The RN performs professional nursing duties in accordance with agency policy and state home health regulations. Major job functions include: Monitoring the Home Health Aides (HHA)performance; setting up and monitoring medications of residents as ordered by MD; performing treatments as ordered by physician; assisting in developing plan of care from service agreement and revise as needed; assigning HHA according to plan of care and assists with assignments as needed; assisting in orientation of new employees; notifies MD of resident changes and concerns after consulting with RN; receives and processes MD orders; attending family conferences; exercising confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer six months experience in medical, home health or LTC nursing. Requires good understanding of medical, social and psychological needs of the elderly and rehab principles. Must have good communication skills and be able to ensure confidentiality of all resident care needs.
Part Time, 2 days per week.
