The Vice President of Marketing and Recruitment leads a high-performing marketing and admissions team and reports to the SVP of Enrollment Management and Athletics. This position serves as a principal catalyst to advance the visibility and enrollment objectives of St. Catherine University and the team's ability to represent a diverse student body, a commitment to social justice, and the mission of the university.

Throughout the entire prospective student life cycle, the Vice President leads the execution of a comprehensive marketing, recruitment, and engagement plan. This position works cross-functionally with our internal partners and stakeholders to meet strategic goals, develop effective marketing materials and campaigns, and ultimately helps to drive enrollment growth. The Vice President's focus includes undergraduate and graduate recruitment efforts with an emphasis on inbound and outbound elements, strategic messaging to articulate the value of St. Kate's and dynamic web and social media presence.

Responsibilities Include:


  • Lead the execution of a comprehensive marketing, recruitment, and engagement plan
  • Provide leadership for operational effectiveness of the admission offices of the College for Women, College for Adults and Graduate College including approaches for lead generation and management of inquiries, and yield efforts.
  • Lead the development of marketing and recruitment plans for domestic and international students to achieve recruitment results
  • Manage, hire and train a team of seven (7) direct reports.
  • Provides strategic direction to both teams through the recruitment cycle and guides ongoing execution of the marketing and recruitment plan
  • Implement integrated, comprehensive marketing strategies for student recruitment that meet and/or exceed enrollment goals such as campaigns, events and digital marketing.
  • collaborate with deans, faculty and other areas of academic and student affairs in implementing and enhancing outreach, engagement and yield activities.
  • Oversee design and content of the website ensuring a marketing focused orientation that places an emphasis the prospective student journey.
  • Oversee external vendors in the execution of the marketing and recruitment plans.
  • Manages the human and financial resources effectively to achieve operational goals and maximize revenue producing activities for the university

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of increasing responsibilities in the area of marketing, admission, and student recruitment.
  • Knowledge of current admission, recruitment and marketing practices, with an understanding of the traditional college learner.
  • Experience serving the needs of 1st generation, BIPOC and international students through the admission cycle.
  • Understanding of digital lead generation, financial aid leveraging and the development of communication plans is essential.
  • Experience in the use of CRMs in the admission process.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Experience translating deep customer insights into a content strategy approach that is personalized, relevant, and strategic to enrollment efforts in the admission's office.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's degree
  • Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in marketing, admission, and recruitment.
  • Experience in the marketing and recruitment of prospective students to a women's college or a designated minority serving institution of higher learning.
  • Recruitment of the adult learner and graduate students in health and nursing programs along with community college partnership is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Slate, understanding of financial aid leverage practices and scholarship design.
  • Track record teaming with advising, alumni, and faculty, to achieve enrollment objectives.
  • The ability to quickly and precisely think through complex situations.
