A role in Store Design means the opportunity to apply your innovative and sustainable concept design and technical expertise. Your work will ultimately help define the physical experience. The interactions and connectivity between the physical, digital and human elements Target develops for our guest, will evolve the brand image in store and ultimately support Target's business strategies. You'll interpret program and scope details to integrate them with interior and fixture design for new stores, remodels and innovation projects

As a Senior Designer, you will maintain knowledge and understanding of current industry design trends, materials, finishes and best methods. You will lead and coordinate the site, building and interior design and development of market area specific or total store design with new stores, remodels, or special projects with minimal direction. By leveraging competition benchmarks and internal guest insights, you will coordinate with cross enterprise team members (e.g. Properties, Store Operations, Space and Presentation, Visual Merchandising, etc.) to complete design concepts and ensure project scopes align with strategic direction, schedule and budget.

In this role, you will have the ability to create holistic site, exterior, interior and signage design and/or technical concepts with strong collaboration with Store Design, Construction, Real Estate and other Target Properties partners. Through the development of concept options (via sketches, 3D renderings, etc.), you will translate strategy into design intent via Feasibility or Schematic Design Packages, reviewing CD drawings for design and technical intent, and be working on (5-15) projects in various phases at one time. In addition, it will be necessary to inform, direct, negotiate and speak to design aesthetic with external partners such as City, Developers, Consultants, Vendors or internal approval workshops. As part of concept design reviews, you will coordinate, present and clearly articulate design rationale on assigned projects.

Lastly, you will coordinate and align with the internal and external Implementation Teams for hand-off from design concept (SD) to design implementation (CD's). Please include a copy of your portfolio or work samples in addition to your resume as part of the application

About you:

• 4 Year accredited degree architecture
• 2-10 years relevant retail experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and project management skills
• High proficiency in Sketchup, 3D StudioMax or related software equivalents
• Proficient in Photoshop or Revit is preferred
• Proven design and manual drawing skills to develop preliminary solutions for design problems

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$65,600.00 USD - $118,100.00 USD.
