Roundel is Target's entry into the media business with an impact of $1B+; an advertising sell-side business built on the principles of first party (people based) data, brand safe content environments and proof that our marketing programs drive business results for our clients. We are here to drive business growth for our clients and redefine "value" in the industry by solving core industry challenges vs. copy current industry methods of operation. Roundel is a key growth initiative for Target and lead the industry to a better way of operating within the media marketplace.

As the Principal Product Manager Self Service UI, you will guide an engineering team to help develop a product strategy, vision, and related roadmap, set key business objectives (OKRs) for Roundel's homegrown self-service advertising platform. The Self-Service Ad Platform is responsible for delivering advertising services such as media planning and activation for Roundel's clients (e.g. advertisers and ad agencies) to create, run and manage advertising campaigns themselves. You are accountable to building an adaptive architecture for multiple user scenarios and will ensure the visual design and flows are intuitive, consistent with the Target brand and provide value for our user base. You will partner with a team of UX designers and engineers and collaborate across multiple product teams.

In addition to leading an internal product strategy, you will be responsible for integrations with other existing internal systems and several third-party software systems. Familiarity with integrating third party tools such as Salesforce, Financial Force, DocuSign, and Workfront is necessary. Competitive Ad Tech software experience ideal (e.g. Meta, Criteo, Basis, etc.).

The right person for this role is highly capable of leading through influence across business, operations, and technology. You have experience working with engineering teams and can work with and inspire directly and indirectly across the board. You have a great track record of delivering complex projects and have impressed your stakeholders at all levels with your ability to communicate both written and verbally. You have demonstrated problem-solving capabilities across both technical and non-technical teams. You know how to scale resources, processes, and tools to support a fast growing, start-up like business.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will lead the development of a comprehensive product strategy and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product domain. You will need to leverage extensive knowledge of your product, as well as, customer feedback, key data and analytics, and other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product.

You will be the "voice of the product" to all outside stakeholders advocating for your product and ensuring their needs are met and that the product team is getting the leadership and support that it needs to be successful. You will need to cultivate strong relationships across the enterprise in order to drive collaboration and alignment with key partners and stakeholders across pyramids.

You will develop and actively maintain a product roadmap outlining prioritization for the customer themes, technical needs, and design challenges to be delivered and you will be accountable to make final decisions on scope and prioritization relative to the product backlog. You will be accountable to create and manage product objectives and key results, key metrics for your product, as well as related P&L impacts.

You will oversee progress against product backlogs to ensure work and priorities are in line with the product strategy while prioritizing themes, epics, and stories, to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the product strategy.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of technical product experience, AdTech required
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in hypothesis-driven decision-making
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Experience managing a project portfolio across multiple stakeholders and product lifecycles
  • Previous experiences managing 3rd party solutions large and small for a large set of users
  • Technical aptitude
  • Proven ability to lead a body of work with cross functional partners

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$141,600.00 USD - $254,900.00 USD. Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to education, work experience, certifications, labor markets, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
