The Financial and Retail Services (FRS) organization is close to the action when it comes to communication-whether with guests or Target team members. Beyond our world-class contact centers, there are many important challenges to be met like the FRS Financial Services Enablement team, which plays at the intersections of process and technology. FRS Strategy manages and grows loyalty, frequency and other marketing programs for all Payment Cards (RedCard, GiftCard). Our Bank Program and included Credit Risk and Compliance functions manage Merchandise Finance, Capital Finance, Expense Management and Financial Goals and Forecasts. And the FRS Controller heads up FRS Accounting and Financial Operations, including Accounting and Control, Retail Bankcard Services, Target Card Services, Fraud Prevention & Dispute Resolution. With FRS, FRS Strategy & Operations is responsible for leading and driving key priorities impacting organizational transformation for FRS and growth for Target.

As Sr Manager Change Management, FRS Strategy & Operations, you'll be at the center of a strategic transformation to modernize our tech and process capabilities at FRS. You'll be responsible for consulting on and contributing to one or more multi-year strategic change initiatives that support the vision and future direction of FRS. You'll lead the change assessment, planning and execution efforts in collaboration with project managers, business leaders and key partners at all levels within tightly connected cross-functional project teams (including a third party integration partner as provided) to bring top initiatives and new capabilities to life. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with leaders across FRS and with enterprise partners such as Target Tech, Finance, HR, Talent & Change, Store Operations, Digital Partners, Product Teams, Finance, HR, Security, Risk and Compliance.

As a Sr Manager Change Management, you will collaborate with business leaders and key partners to assess change impacts and to create, socialize and carry out a high-level change strategy to drive leadership alignment, team engagement and overall adoption focused on behaviors, tools and strategies that drive successful change. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the organization is ready with the knowledge, skills and personal commitment required to successfully implement change. As a Change Management Lead, you will:

  • Analyze and understand team impacts and behavioral change needed to support change outcomes of large-scale transformational change efforts
  • Consult with leaders at all levels within the business and partner teams to analyze and understand the specific impacts each transformation effort will have and to prepare leaders with the information and tools they will need to effectively lead their organization through a successful change effort.
  • Define a stakeholder engagement approach - identify sponsors, advocates, change agents, and impacted end users that can make or break a change effort. Understand what motivates end users, and their change commitment and develop plans to mitigate risks as they surface
  • Design, build and administer efficient methods to gather data and input to support change efforts (e.g., focus groups, adoption surveys, etc.)
  • Build and maintain a document repository for all change artifacts (change impact mapping, change agent networks, key partners & stakeholders, project adoption, etc.)
  • Define overall change readiness plan aligned to overall project plan that addresses change impacts, including adoption measurement plan and associated tracking and reporting mechanisms
  • Surface change risks and propose mitigation solutions with urgency and influence
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to identify organizational alignment needed to align the organization to the change and business outcomes (roles, jobs, organization structure, operating model and governance)
  • Partner with FRS Communications to identify and execute communication and engagement strategies needed to support all who are impacted by change efforts
  • Work with your Director to build/deepen the change management capability/skillset needed across FRS project managers and leaders to support change efforts across FRS by identifying and implementing a streamlined approach to driving usage/adoption and proficiency in the use of change management best practices and tools provided by Target.

About you:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years business experience
  • 4+ years working on complex global change initiatives
  • Experience and/or aptitude with technical projects, partnerships and Agile mindset
  • Ability to navigate the complexity and ambiguity of large-scale change programs through effective collaboration, consulting, influencing and guiding peers, partners and leaders at all levels
  • Thrives in ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify effectively sequenced/prioritized plans and to work through conflict, setbacks and competing priorities
  • Ability to build trust, develop strong internal & external relationships, take the right partners at the right time, and influence without authority
  • Knowledge of FRS organization, tools and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to tell compelling business and result stories

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$85,400.00 USD - $153,700.00 USD.
