JOB POSITION: Lead Automation Integration Engineer

LOCATION: 7000 Target Parkway North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

DUTIES: Lead strategy and implementation of automation integration and interfaces for systems involved in managing industrial production and supply chain processes, including user interface deliverables and material handling middleware capabilities. Design and develop next generation material flow strategies and lead the deployment and launch of automation supply chain technologies and processes (robotics, sortation and conveyance, controls integration, vision systems, process development and optimization). Develop material handling improvement initiatives, create roll-out strategies, and deploy at enterprise scale. Engage in concept development, prototype testing, engineering design, and collaboration on controls solution system build and integration testing. Design, develop, and implement automation software and data solutions for improving material flows in addition to long term lifecycle planning. Support advanced troubleshooting and improvement of material flow systems. Architect database and reporting functions to meet functional requirements. Utilize DCS/PLC/SCADA, engineering analysis software (MilSoft, Windmil, CYME, SKM Power Tool), architectural simulators, PID Loop Tuning, NI Lab view, Pneumatics, Servo motors, Motion sensors/controllers, Robotics, C/C++, Verilog, PERL, HTML, ESRI, QGIS, Autodesk, MATLAB, AutoCAD/CAM, Pro Engineer (ProE), Jetson Supervisory Control System at the Distribution Centers, Install, Testing, and Training - Ignition by Inductive Automation, and Solidworks. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis area Target office, as directed.

REQUIREMENTS: At least a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field, and at least eight (8) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as a systems engineer (any title) using DSC/PLC/SCADA tools, engineering analysis software, architectural simulators, C/C++, Verilog, PERL, ESRI, QGIS, Autodesk, MATLAB, AutoCAD/CAM, Pro Engineer (ProE), and Solidworks. Experience must include at least 5 years: (1) supervising system engineering projects that involve power distribution analysis, distribution mapping and planning, interface control systems, power forecasting, and resource planning; (2) reviewing technical documentation; (3) planning budgets; and (4) managing projects. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.
