SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Best Buy Co., Inc. has an opening based out of its corporate headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota as a Senior Systems Engineer. This position provides a telecommuting benefit allowing the employee to reside anywhere in the United States. Lead sprint planning from a technical perspective. Coordinate test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Lead technical design sessions for other systems engineers and software developers. Facilitate the development of actionable and well-defined milestones for large software projects with minimal supervision. Anticipate and solve technical issues and make architectural and design decisions to avoid technical issues and create databases to document known defects in testing. Create and improve internal libraries and tools, partner with team-specific stakeholders and lead production support. Deliver complex products that are well-tested and bug-free. Determine system performance standards. Serve as technical expert to address testing questions that are highly specialized and complex. Full Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or any closely related IT field, plus three (3) years of experience in the following areas: (1) testing automation for eCommerce and mobile commerce applications in the consumer retail industry; (2) working with technical and business teams to facilitate the design, development, and delivery of eCommerce products to consumers; (3) applying Agile methodologies related to software testing; and (4) using Restful API, Java, J2EE, and Apache Kafka. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or any closely related IT field, plus at five years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in the enumerated areas above.
