Director of Graduate Occupational Therapy ProgramsDivision: Academic AffairsDepartment/Office: MA Occupational TherapyAdvertisement:St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Director of Graduate Occupational Therapy Programs.St. Catherine University offers master's, doctoral, and post-professional degrees in occupational therapy. We seek a dynamic leader to serve as the next program director to build on our track record of success and innovation within occupational therapy education. The graduate occupational therapy programs are part of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences (HSSHS). With 17 degree programs, approximately 100 faculty, and a focus on interprofessional education, the program director will find an environment that facilities transformative collaboration. The Institute of Simulation and Interprofessional Learning (I-SAIL) provides resources and expertise to support the development and implementation of high-impact educational activities within HSSHS and the School of Nursing. This is 12-month, tenure-track position will start June 1, 2023. Dependent on the applicant's qualifications and experiences, the initial appointment may be at the assistant or associate professor level.Responsibilities include: Establish and renew program policies, maintain a system of program evaluation for all programs and prepare annual reports for accreditation and the university Oversee the development, maintenance, and evaluation of the curriculum design, fieldwork processes, capstone processes, and curriculum evaluation. Develop, administer, and manage program budgets for personnel, equipment, supplies, consultants, travel, accreditation, and program endowed funds Monitor and enforce University and department position descriptions, policies, and procedures for faculty and maintain program faculty records Develops and carries out scholarly activities in collaboration with faculty, students, and the community in an area of interest aligned with the departmental strategic plan Advocate to the University for the needs of the OT program, students, and faculty and facilitate cooperative faculty efforts across academic programs Hire, supervise, and evaluate administrative assistants Collaborates with other faculty to teach in areas of content expertise. Attend chairs and directors meetings within the university, graduate college, and HSSHS Designs, teaches, evaluates, and revises course content to reflect evidence-based practice and most current knowledge in the field.
