As a Sr. Manager, Team Member Engagement, Meetings & Experiences at Target, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute plans that inspire confidence in Target's strategy and strengthen the company's culture for internal audiences. You will deliver work that is influential, integrated, industry-leading and fun.

The role manages internal communications efforts for a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of the internal engagement, meetings and experiences plan on an annual basis based on business and internal culture priorities, including measurable goals
  • Conceptualize and create new programs and hybrid experiences for team members in 2023 and beyond
  • Participate in integrated Communications planning process for assigned business areas, which are subject to change: CEO, CR, Digital, Employment Brand, HR, DEI, Financial, Operations, Strategy, Technology, Target in India, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Manage all speaker series with support from team
  • Serve as the primary, day-to-day contact and counselor for Communications colleagues (for your assigned areas of responsibility, listed above) and cross-functional partners (i.e., Marketing, Merchandising, Target Tech, Experiential, Target Creative, Building Operations, and more.)
  • Produce small and large-scale hybrid meetings and events for team members, including remote locations
  • Keep a regular pulse on internal engagement through available date and share timely updates and implications with your colleagues and business partners
  • Participate in industry benchmarking to bring new engagement and experiential ideas to the table
  • Coach and counsel leaders
  • Apply a strategic lens to internal engagement support of Target's business priorities, purpose and values
  • Manage budget
  • Manage external agency partners and contractor support for production assistance and sample management


About you:
  • More than eight years of related internal communications and/or events experience working in a corporate communications or agency setting
  • Strong storytelling and versatile writing skills (i.e., email, talking points, prep materials, recommendations, etc.)
  • Highly curious, passion for creating meaningful and measurable experiences for team members
  • Eye for design and creating on-brand experiences for a variety of audiences
  • Experience managing complex meetings and events for a variety of audiences, including senior leaders
  • Experience working with A-list talent (identifying, negotiating, securing, managing, prepping, etc.)
  • Strong c-suite executive and talent presence, with a high degree of comfort working under pressure
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple peers and stakeholders, influencing without authority, developing strong working relationships within a large, matrixed organization
  • Experience managing external agency partners and large budgets
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the retail environment, internal engagement landscape and an ability to distill trends into communication implications
  • Ability to seamlessly manage time and multiple competing priorities on a daily basis
