Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the development of new senior housing living spaces for Ecumen and Ecumen's third party clients. This position will also support all real estate development activities including opportunity analysis, entitlements, project approvals, oversight of consultants, budgets, contracts, scheduling, client management and coordination with Ecumen's operations and marketing teams.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages building projects in pre-development, development, construction and start-up phases, including oversight of scope, schedule, budget, bidding and key vendors / contractors. Responsible for tracking and reporting project progress and milestones; reviews and approves construction documents, submittals, field execution, payment applications.
  • Serves as representative to the customer and provides expertise in senior housing planning and programming, construction sequencing, building systems and project management. Ensures alignment with operator and marketing objectives throughout the project.
  • Supports Business Development leadership in locating, evaluating, pursuing and managing execution of new business and real estate opportunities, consistent with Ecumen's revenue goals.
  • Coordinates responses to RFP's, jurisdictional approvals, and funding applications integrating various disciplines and prepare formal written proposals.
  • Provides research, analysis, and recommendations consistent with Ecumen's growth plan including financial, market and site analysis.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with real estate developers, brokers, strategic partners, building contractors and key vendors
  • Qualifications

    Business Development Manager

    Minimum Required Qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Project Management, Construction Management, Business or other related area
    • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in one of the following areas: construction, development, real estate, project management, multi-family or senior housing
    • Proven project management skills
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at a given time
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize responsibilities in order to consistently meet deadlines
    • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
    • Ability to work effectively across company lines
    • Ability to manage client relationships
    • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Travel- approximately 20%; will vary at times
    • Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • PMP Certification
