Best Buy has openings at its corporate headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Software Engineer II. Design and develop automation solutions and applications for Retail and oversee automation efforts and automation infrastructure testing for Retail applications. Design and develop application test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Coded UI and Ready API and Appium and automate application testing for applications in Retail. Design and develop test scripting frameworks and tools and optimize the existing framework as per the latest changes. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output and content. Applies advanced knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, and techniques to test and assure the quality of software applications. Performs in a lead capacity role within the team in making decisions for the quality assurance of the project / application. Recommends quality improvement initiatives for future application / project releases. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, and improve its performance. This position has multiple openings. Full Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Technology and Computer Engineering, or a closely related IT field, plus at least five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems. Experience must include at least two years with (1) front end technologies and third-party libraries like JavaScript, CSS3 , Reach JS, Angular, jQuery and HTML5; (2) server-side programming languages including .Net, Java, Node JS, Ruby and Python; (3) using continuous integration and configuration management tools, UI/UX and basic prototype design; (4) managing applications for websites and for integrations using Websphere, MQ, Apptalk, and Webservice; and (5) implementing solutions using RDMBS technologies (SQLserver, Oracle, MongoDB, and MySQL). In the alternative, employer will also accept a Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Technology and Computer Engineering, or closely-related IT field, plus three (3) years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patters, reliability, and scaling), two years of which must include experience in the other enumerated areas above.
