Your role will be critical to ensuring the success of Target's business initiatives and core retail operations.

As Sr Manager of Accounts Payable, you'll provide strategic direction and leadership to the Merchandise Accounts Payable Team, ensuring processes and controls are effective for timely, accurate and efficient Merchant payments. You'll develop strong partnerships with Target's most critical vendors as well as internal partners such as Distribution Operations, Store Operations and Merchandising to identify and resolve complex issues impacting payments. You'll have indirect leadership with the Target India Merchandise Payables Team to help facilitate timely reconciliation and match of vendor payments. Using your influence skills, you'll use insights and data to advocate for Finance in enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring that new solutions meet our requirements for operational excellence. You will drive vision through creative problem solving and analysis as you work with large volumes of complex data to draw conclusions that identify process improvements, improve accurate and timely payments to all vendors, increase automated payment processing and deliver industry-leading performance metrics.

About you:
  • College degree in Accounting, Finance or similar accounts payable experience
  • 5-7+ years of supervisory accounting, finance or business operations experience
  • Demonstrated inclusive team leadership skills; ability to develop and motivate team members with diverse experiences and backgrounds
  • Strong communication, problem solving, organization and analytical skills
  • High level of curiosity, initiative and the desire to learn end to end processes to drive improvements
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable, working through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced operations environment
  • Experience collaborating effectively across functional areas
  • Experience in project execution or system aptitude a plus


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$87,900.00 USD - $158,200.00 USD.
