As an Asset Librarian, you'll complete the day-to-day functions of Targets Corporate Archives including survey, acquisition, organization, cataloging, preservation, exhibition, and guest access to selected archival materials. You will partner across the organization to document the people, stores, promotions, events, experiences, merchandise, and knowledge that comprise Target Corporation past and present. Using archival and curatorial insight, you will leverage the Archive collections to appropriately advance Target Corporation business objectives and interests. Core Responsibilities:
  • Supports the creation and evolution of methodology for asset archiving based on industry standards
  • Partner with internal teams for ongoing enterprise collaboration and collection procurement
  • Support for collection acquisition, processing, digitization, and preservation of archival materials.
  • Supports space planning and facilities needs for the collection
  • Maintains consistent taxonomy in partnership with our Assets and larger Operations teams
  • Maintain our Archives Sharepoint site
  • Support our internal and external partners business needs with archival research materials
  • Promotes collections through exhibits and outreach activities.


About you:
  • 4-year college degree
  • 1-3 years of industry experience including Library & Information science related work, archival management or equivalent
  • Experience with archival databases like Archasearch and ReDiscovery
  • Ability to manage and execute projects in many different stages and work with ambiguity
  • Strong organization and presentation skills
  • Speaks and writes clearly and succinctly
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and climb a ladder
