Job Description: Mental Health Clinician

Hours: 32-40/week
Location: Reviving Roots Therapy & Wellness, 1625 Hennepin Ave #300, Minneapolis, MN

40 hours per week (24 sessions/wk + time for notes, meetings, content creation)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The mental health clinician is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for adults experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict. This role is within the Reviving Roots membership community, Sanctuary. Sanctuary members pay a monthly fee which covers one therapy session (individual or group) per month.

We are seeking a skilled, liberation-focused mental health therapist who has knowledge and expertise in:

• trauma healing
• relational cultural theory
• liberation focused therapy

A therapist who desires to provide top-notch service and has a passion for guiding the healing of the Black community.

A therapist who will work as a part of an integrative wellness team. As part of this team, providers consult with one another to support the overall health of Sanctuary members.

Black-identifying therapists with knowledge of and training toward liberatory healing practices are strongly encouraged to apply.

Reviving Roots Therapy & Wellness is a liberation-focused wellness community that offers black centered, black serving and black affirming mental wellness services. This community offers holistic tools, services, space and resources to guide the legacy of health and healing of the Black community.

• Trustworthy and can be counted on to safeguard the confidentiality of not only our business but our clients as well in accordance with HIPAA standards

• Comfortable with social media and online tools

THE ROLE REQUIRES YOU TO

• Fully licensed LPCC, LMFT or LISCW preferred

• Pre-licensed therapists is possible (RR is able to provide supervision for pre-LPCC

  license as part of compensation package)

• Assess and diagnose clients experiencing symptoms of psychological distress

• Provide psychotherapy to clients

• Talk to clients about their experiences, emotions, and thoughts

• Conduct group sessions

• Work with clients to identify situations, behaviors, and thoughts that interfere with their wellness and recovery

• Refer clients to other health professionals as well as to other resources in the community such as other social services, job services, and support groups

• Properly document your sessions and any other client communications

• Be able to provide referrals as needed

• Create regular online video and digital wellness content

COMPENSATION

• Contractor (1099) Position
• Compensation: $4,550-$5,150/month (paid biweekly--not per session)
• Free Sanctuary Membership (valued at $1,188 annually)
• Seasonal Sabbath: a week of rest and recovery where the facility is closed every quarter
