A role in Property Management means the opportunity to maximize the performance and longevity of Target's assets while delivering value, reliability and brand integrity. Leverage and stretch your skills, whether your focus is energy and waste sustainability, electrical, plumbing, fire and security, smart buildings, HVAC, refrigeration, fixtures and finishes or interior and exterior service operations or enabling all of those through data insights.

The Director, Property Management-Data Insights leads a high-performing, diverse and engaged team responsible for enabling actionable data insights across our broad Property Management team. This role leads data integrity, reporting, analysis and insight strategies to enable our Property Management teams to run their programs more efficiently and impactfully. Your team will enable and support teams to make informed decisions to improve asset reliability while balancing cost and Target Forward goals. In addition, you'll arm teams with the information they need to manage a large vendor base that perform maintenance, repairs and construction projects at our stores and supply chain facilities. Further, you'll work across over a dozen Director peers and partners in Tech and Data Product teams to deliver a standard set of key performance indicators, actionable and easy to use operational and financial reporting tools, deep analysis into trends and outliers, and new insights to guide strategic investment.

This leader is an experienced collaborator with a track record of elevating those around them; a strong developer of talent who builds team cultures where everyone thrives; and a tireless advocate for efficiency and alignment to move the collective team forward. This leader demonstrates strong relationship and thought partnership skills in working with leaders across Property Management, Target Properties, and other pyramids including Finance, Engineering, Community Relations, Data Sciences, Tech, Store Operations, and Supply Chain.

About you:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience as team leader, coach and developer of talent
  • Proven ability to source, prioritize, align, manage projects, set timeliness and meet deadlines
  • Strong financial, reasoning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to maximize relationships - team player/inspires others/takes partners effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners
  • 2+ years of experience leading projects involving complex business intelligence requirements, a variety of business stakeholder and a team of BI professionals with a variety of skills
  • Proven track record of learning new tools and technologies
  • Understand the Product model and ability to work and lead an Agile team
  • 4+ years of experience in the Hadoop ecosystem and data visualization tools (DOMO, Tableau, PowerBI) and automation tools
  • Strong MS-Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Good understanding of data structures and the designing of algorithms
  • Good understanding of mathematical concepts and ability to grasp complex mathematics
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language including Python, R, SQL, Java/Scala, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, including model development, hypothesis design and testing, and the ability to teach analytical concepts to others.


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$123,100.00 USD - $221,600.00 USD. Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to education, work experience, certifications, labor markets, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
