Position Description

This position is responsible to support MBE process improvement initiatives through analysis of business goals, objectives and needs of the business. Responsibilities will include documentation of current state process flows; analysis of pain points; creation of recommended future state process flows all done through collaboration with subject matter experts and business partners in an effort to improve departmental; and organizational operations.

• Collaborate with vendors, business clients and program/technical teams to perform analysis, define business requirements, and implement innovative solutions that solve business problems and/or meet business objectives from a strategic and tactical perspective.

• Collaborate with MBE leaders to identify and implement repeatable and sustainable process improvement efforts involving enhancements to MBE operations.

• Support the execution of the MBE Department Plan and other improvement initiatives through process documentation, subject matter expert review and improvement research.

• Collaborate with business owners, subject matter experts and the MBE Leadership Team to study, document and improve processes using various process improvement tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate with MBE Support Team members on project management execution and education needs.

• Create process maps, perform data gathering and historical trending of data to develop a current state and identify root causes of defects or areas of waste in a process.

• Develop performance metrics to demonstrate operational improvement where appropriate.

• Partner with the PMO Process Improvement Team to utilize the library of process improvement tools, templates, and best practices.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

At least five years business analysis experience within operations. At least two years of process improvement experience.

Preferred Experience

Health Plan or Provider Operations experience. Lean and/or Six Sigma experience.
