A role in Supply Chain Compliance means providing support and managing key compliance areas for Target's Global Supply Chain & Logistics network.

As a Director of Supply Chain Compliance you will:
  • Lead the development, implementation and on-going management of Ammonia Safety, Environmental, and Transportation compliance programs for Target's Global Supply Chain & Logistics network.
  • Manage compliance cases originating from GSCL, including inspection response and follow-up
  • Define vision and strategies for areas of responsibility aligned with risk, compliance, and ethical overall goals. Provide leadership and work direction to a team responsible for the execution of those compliance programs and implementation of the compliance framework.
  • Establish trusted relationships with GSCL business partners to ensure compliance can provide the necessary support to enable their business strategies and ongoing operational routines.
  • Use data to ensure compliance processes are working as intended and to improve the ongoing routines and sustainability of those processes
  • Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with Target's values of Inclusivity, Connection and Drive; ensure on-going, effective communications to the team, and support individualized development by offering regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition and evaluation
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Compliance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in risk, compliance, supply chain, or other related field; experience to include at least 5 years of progressive leadership or responsibilities
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain operations
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively, internally and externally, across all levels of an organization
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and distill complex issues into actionable plans
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to develop effective and collaborative relationships with key business leaders in order to drive accountability, instill confidence, and influence outcomes across business functions
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks or projects in response to changing, ambiguous or competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to construct professional level documentation and reporting that meets the expectations of legal, audit, regulatory compliance and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated strategic skills with the ability to assess and challenge the current state, develop strategies, and identify the tactics necessary to drive a successful implementation
  • Highly organized, with strong detail orientation


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree, JD or other advanced education in a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant Compliance Program Management including the following rules: US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA/40 CFR) RCRA, CAA and CWA; Ammonia Safety OSHA Process Safety Management and US EPA Risk Management; US Department of Transportation (DOT/49 CFR), IATA DGR, and IMDG Code; and International Fire Code Hazmat Storage (IFC).


This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target. The salary range is :$123,100.00 USD - $221,600.00 USD.
