BUSINESS ARCHITECT

Work Location: Office for your Day

Position Description

The Business Architect interprets and contextualizes strategy for operational needs, develops specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution, and helps streamline and rationalize the IT enablement process. In addition to developing specific deliverables, views, and viewpoints, a Business Architect synthesizes and synergizes the work of others drawing from disciplines such as strategy development, business analysis, process management, operations, and systems analysis. This role works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, while introducing business architecture best practices and techniques. Relate business capabilities and business processes to the business applications represented in our enterprise architecture tool, LeanlX.

• Ability to interprets and contextualizes business leader visions within and through the primary business architecture artifacts of high-level business capabilities and high-level business process.

• Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.

• Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.

• Define the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions.

• Define the set of strategic, core and support business processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which business capabilities and business processes are involved.

• Capture the relationships between departments, business capabilities, business processes and their enabling business applications.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or business management; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years Healthcare Industry experience. Eight to ten years of experience working in architecture. Experience working with architecture tools. Strong ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies, and cross-silo redundancies

Preferred Experience

Preferred experience with the Enterprise Architecture Tool, LeanIX.
