About us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Right along with Target's distinctive retail brand, we are constantly improving and innovating our digital shopping experience. Are you ready to excel in the fast-changing retail environment? Are you a customer service enthusiast who's curious about the customer and can see the shopping journey through their eyes? Then you'll have success on the Digital Strategy & Platform team, whose goal is to offer customers a seamless online shopping experience across our platforms-including Target.com and the store network's fulfillment capabilities. Here, you'll collaborate to create and implement the digital strategies that enrich the online experience through the right mix of personalization, simplicity and intuitiveness. Your ideas will support Target in complementing the beloved in-store shopping interaction with a convenient, reliable and instantly gratifying digital experience.

About the Job:

The Product Detail Page (PDP) is the centerpiece of customer's online purchasing decisions; making it one of the most strategic and decisive pages for an ecommerce site. It's crucial for the PDP to be intelligent enough to understand the customer's needs and flexible enough to support customers with the content and experience they need to navigate multiple types of purchase decisions.

As Senior Product Manager for Product Detail Page, you will focus on designing and introducing new capabilities to advance the Target customer's experience and elevating their purchase confidence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Product Details Page aligns with broader business strategies and use customer feedback and data to optimize and continually improve the page.

Success in this role will mean leaning heavily into design thinking, creating & optimizing content, A/B testing, competitive & user research. It will require working on cross-functional co-creation, prioritizing intake requests from various partners, balancing revenue-driving opportunities, and creating horizon roadmaps for the squad and with partner teams.

Additionally, given the recent explosion in generative AI, successful candidates will have a pre-existing vision for how these new and exciting technologies can evolve online shopping experiences.

We are looking for someone with proven product management experience in B2C ecommerce or retail who has previously machine learning / artificial intelligence experience. The ideal candidate has experience spanning top of funnel, UX, customer-facing UI, and capabilities. An intense orientation around data, business outcomes, and customer focus will be needed to roadmap, define and track success metrics, write and pitch business cases, effectively communicate to leadership, establish rapport & credibility, and influence in a highly cross-functional, matrix organization that spans multiple geographies.

Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

You will be the "voice of the product" to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 5 years in B2C Product Management [frontend user experience preferably leading top of the funnel work-stream]
  • Prior experience and expertise in B2C eCommerce / eRetail or similar
  • Prior experience designing solutions with machine learning / artificial intelligence
  • Proven experience in product positioning, optimizing content on page for performance and driving revenues
  • Data Centric with expertise on ecommerce metrics.
  • Experience working on back-end (services) technology
  • Proven experience in roadmap planning, defining, and tracking success metrics, writing and pitching business case
  • Strong communication & influencing skills with proven ability to lead body of work with cross functional partners
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, personas, iterative development, scrum teams)
  • Proven success in a highly dynamic, sometimes ambiguous work environment
  • Creative thinker with a growth mindset.
