GUIDINGCARE BUSINESS ANALYST
Work Location: Work from Home, Office for Your Day
Position Description
As a GuidingCare (GC) Business Aanalyst, you will be responsible for understanding both the business needs of our Health Services GuidingCare users, as well as the technical capabilities of the GuidingCare care management platform and related integrations to support the discovery & delivery phases of the design process. Having a dual understanding of the users we support, and the technical and functional solutions that the product offers, allows the GC Business Analyst to distill business needs down to core problem statements in the discovery process, and to partner with the cross functional product team through the Delivery phase on prototype testing, development, QA, measuring user acceptance, partnering on the change management and release processes, and maintaining and monitoring ongoing performance of delivered solutions. There are designated Discovery and Delivery roles, each of which will collaborate with the GuidingCare cross-functional product team, IT stakeholders, and leadership to participate in both phases at key points, while maintaining primary focus on their assigned phase.
• Own assigned business processes related to the data flowing into and out of GuidingCare to continually monitor quality and ensure validity and comprehensiveness.
• Create and understand user Stories and develop acceptance criteria using Agile methodology.
• Coordinate Requirements and User Stories with IT QA Analyst's & Business Analysts, as necessary.
• Initiate and facilitate communication and meetings with product owner, business and IT stakeholders.
• Develop use cases as a key communication tool between the business and technical teams. Document current & future state assessments. Perform gap analysis and any other documentation that will assist in the understanding of the business need. Make use of workflows, charts and diagrams to more fully describe system and technical issues.
• Use and promote defined UCare Business Analysts standards, documentation, software tools, and best practices to achieve business needs.
• In collaboration with IT, develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for assigned UCare projects when needed. Assist business users with UAT documentation deliverables (UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Results, and UAT Defect Log).
• Assist with the development of user training materials, communications, and change management process.
• Assist with application configuration, as needed.
• Provide backup and support for GC Business & Configuration analyst.
Designated Discovery Role:
• Collaborate with the GuidingCare cross-functional product team, Business Stakeholders, Vendors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to explore and study business problem statements that need to be solved. Conduct user research, gather, document, and distill into concise requirements to be solutioned in the delivery phase.
• Partner with cross-functional product team to drive the discovery process of studying and exploring identified design opportunities and participate in the creation of informative, actionable, and repeatable requirements.
• Capture business needs related to SmartCOMM, a letter management tool within GuidingCare
• Oversee the discovery process of researching and studying identified business problems.
Designated Delivery Role:
• Collaborate with the GuidingCare cross functional product team, Business Stakeholders, Vendors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver business solutions identified through the discovery process Deliver system and technical requirements for GuidingCare with integrated systems.
• Partner with cross functional product team to drive the delivery process in creation of satisfactory solutions to design opportunities, including the necessary analytic capabilities to monitor their ongoing performance.
• Deliver business needs relating to SmartCOMM, a letter management tool within GuidingCare.
• Oversee the delivery of solutions to identified problems.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree; demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of specific major.
Required Experience
At least four years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or similar role. Experience with phases of software development life cycle. A demonstrable track record of successful requirements documentation. Experience in performing simple SQL queries in either MS SQL or Oracle.
Preferred Experience
Experience in health care or managed care. Experience with Project Lifecycles. Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
