Target Enterprise, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Data Scientist based at our office in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Data Scientist is part of the Target Data & Analytics team which creates the tools and data products to sustainably educate and enable business partners to make great data-based decisions at Target. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Quantitative Management, Analytics, Data Science or related field and 1 year related experience. Must also have experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) performing data wrangling in preparation for data analysis, statistical modelling, and feature engineering on complex big data; (2) analyzing data and applying analytical techniques (including regression, clustering, and classification) to generate statistical analysis, models, and tests to generate actionable insights; (3) generating accuracy metrics and reports on the performance of the models to be effectively communicated to business leaders through data visualization tools; (4) querying large databases with SQL and HQL; and (5) working with the following programming language and technologies: Python, R, Jupyter, SQL, Hadoop/Hive, and Github. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master's program. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to a Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.
