Lead Engineer, eTrailer
Winnebago Industries, Inc. is seeking a full-time Lead Engineer, eTrailer at our offices in Savage, MN. The position of Lead Engineer, eTrailer is part of the Advanced Technology Group which has a dedicated focus on customer-centric learning and the application of advanced technologies for commercialization throughout the various business units of Winnebago Industries. This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of related engineering experience. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) engineering experience. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) working on the development of new concepts, systems architecture, functional descriptions, requirements decomposition, and risk analysis related to electric vehicles and power-train; (2) conducting and providing analysis to develop system level performance and DFMEA for systems including e-motor, driveline, power electronics, hydraulics, cooling, electrical wiring, and actuation; (3) working with Automotive Systems Engineering processes and Requirements management tools including Integrity and Enterprise Architect; (4) benchmarking, testing, and validation activities related to vehicle dynamics and vehicle-level performance attributes; and (5) conducting vehicle performance modeling and vehicle simulation. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Up to 25% of domestic and international travel required.
