SENIOR QA ENGINEER
Best Buy has openings based out of its corporate headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Senior QA Engineer. This position offers a telecommuting benefit allowing the employee to work from anywhere in the contiguous United States. Drive automation of regression testing and product testing, establishing and monitoring quality process and standard, ensuring requirements are testable and lead testing scenarios identification and testing coordination on large programs. Participate in cross functional quality efforts for large scale projects and programs. Ensure that the product quality is measured and monitored and is accountable for demonstrating measurable improvements. Develop testing programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug resets, and usability. Lead documentation of software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers. Plan test schedules in accordance with project scope and delivery dates. Lead projects from requirements through production support. There are multiple positions open for this role. Salary for position ranges from $114,358 to $125,000, commensurate with experience, and proffered position comes with standard company benefits for full time employees. Full Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related IT field, plus five years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience with (1) testing/automation tools for large facing web applications and/or stand-alone applications; (2) utilizing web technology tools (Oracle, LoadRunner, JIRA, Maven, Soap, REST APIS, and/or Spock); (3) using programming languages Java, Groovy, XML, SQL, and/or Ruby; (4) writing and executing manual test scripts; and (5) working in an Agile and continuous delivery environment. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and five years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience as described above, employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related IT field, plus three years of experience in the enumerated areas above.
