LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST SENIOR

Work Location: Work from Home or Office for your Day

Position Description

As a Learning and Development Specialist Senior, you will be responsible to recommend, design, develop, and implement training strategies for large scale projects. Collaborate with managers, stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to gather materials, research, and source content. Design, develop and deliver learning content and curriculum for specific learning programs with the goal to increase process knowledge, job capabilities, and retention of end users. Facilitate training sessions. Support the organizational training standards templates, tools and processes.

Support the transition from project implementation training to run-the-business training and provide ongoing run-the-business training to departments across UCare. In collaboration with business departments, maintain training materials and ensure that overall training programs are aligned with business needs, compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Perform gap analysis for current state and future state business and system processes. Identify opportunities or innovations in training delivery. Prioritize the importance of identified gaps and recommend interventions. Document and present the methods, the findings, and the recommendations including number of courses, sequencing of courses, estimated employee training time and evaluation criteria.

• Research content and/or collaborate with internal stakeholders and SMEs to define, document and develop the content sequence.

• Develop training solutions, that provide relevant, engaging, challenging, and productive learning experiences. Develop necessary course collateral including facilitator and participant materials, presentation media, job aids, and knowledge checks. Finalize materials through reviews, developmental tests, pilots, etc.

• Build and manage training schedules for affected departments; facilitate courses or train-the trainer as appropriate. Maintain and update ILT and job aids.

• Participate in identifying knowledge gaps as well as opportunities to enhance employee performance through additional training.

• Support the development of training outcomes including participant training metrics to establish competence; identify and implement improvements to training; develop reporting for measurement of training results through evaluation forms, quality numbers, and interviews with staff or consultations with leadership staff.

• Perform administrative functions in the Learning Management System (LMS) to schedule courses, track attendance, and run basic reports.

• Maintain knowledge and skills of processes, policies, procedures, and systems within their training responsibilities.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Four-year college degree in education, training, communications or human resources; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Certification and/or active involvement in professional talent or training association highly desired.

Required Experience

Five years of experience with learning and development program development. Experience working in health insurance or managed care environment. Experience with virtual training, e-learning, blended learning approaches and adult learning principles. Proficient in MS office.

Preferred Experience

Experience with HealthRules Manager System, Billing and Enrollment, GuidingCare System and Microsoft TEAMS.
