Responsibilities
The Intake Manager position is responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the Home Care and Hospice centralized intake office. The Intake Manager provides supervision of the Intake Specialist and Hospice Staffing Specialists' work of processing new referrals in accordance with regulations and organization standards while maintaining an exceptional client/patient/referral source customer experience. The Intake Manager will also be responsible for the scheduling of Hospice Home Health Aids.
Essential Job Responsibilities:Creates and establishes written work standards to allow for the processing of referrals in a timely and complete manner and to ensure appropriate client/patient care and exceptional customer service. Collaborates and communicates with the Home Care and Hospice branch office leaders, regional leaders and billing team to ensure the referral to admission process is efficient, timely and effective. Monitors referral documentation, intake reports, home care referral tool, statistical data for trends or concerns, and census target goals to actual. Provides updates and summarizes monthly reports for home care and hospice leadership. Provides daily supervision to the Intake Specialists and Hospice Staffing Specialist team including support, education, direction, scheduling, advocacy and tools. Solves urgent or complex client/patient referrals with department leaders and clinical teams. Acts as primary contact for internal or external customer concerns and questions regarding referral process. Is an active member of the leadership team for strategic planning and annual budget planning. Helps develop and implement departmental goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a human services-focused field) or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of intake experience
- 2+ years of healthcare experience
- 2+ years of scheduling experience
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Understanding of the medical terminology, intake processing and basic insurance knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Computer proficient in Word, Publisher, and other Microsoft applications, EMR
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, OSHA, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, Right to know, and MSDS
- LPN or RN
- Experience in home care and/or hospice and intake
