The Robert F. Cervenka School of Engineering/Engineering & Technology Department within the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Management invites qualified candidates to apply for our Financial Specialist II position.
The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: provide financial assistance to the school director and department chair; act as financial office manager for the school/department; purchase supplies and equipment; reconcile funding strings; financial reporting; provide financial guidance and training to faculty/staff on policy and procedure; manage student employees; and other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent judgment including sensitivity to personal and confidential information.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Good work habits, such as attendance, punctuality, accountability, thoroughness, and resourcefulness.
• Strong ability to pay attention to detail.
• Work independently and as part of a team environment and on collaborative efforts.
• Professional financial management experience.
Highly Desired
• Work experience in higher education.
• Demonstrated commitment in establishing a positive work environment that embraces inclusion.
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
The R.F. Cervenka School of Engineering is comprised of the Engineering and Technology (E&T) Department which is one of eight departments in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Management (CSTEMM). The department has approximately 40 full-time faculty and staff. The department provides courses for its well-established and accredited undergraduate programs in Computer & Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (B.S. and M.S.), Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Packaging, plus other programs throughout the University.

The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Minimum starting salary of $20.00/hour, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and available budget.
