REGULATORY MATERIALS WRITER
Work Location: Work from Home
Position Description
As a Regulatory Materials Writer, you will be responsible for writing, coordinating, and consulting on regulated member materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines. Primary emphasis is on the review of member materials for regulatory requirements and health literacy. You will be responsible to coordinate a high-volume production process against regulatory timelines, with editing and quality assurance checks throughout.
• Write, edit, and perform quality assurance for member regulated materials owned by the Government Relations Regulatory Materials team in order to produce timely and accurate materials.
• Understand the regulatory requirements for development of regulated member materials for UCare products, including Medicare, Medicaid and Individual and Family Plans. Apply clear understanding of regulatory requirements and solid editing skills to ensure all materials are accurate and compliant.
• Coordinate with organization-wide subject matter experts on review of all variable content, and completion of materials to ensure all regulatory and operational timelines are met.
• Collaborate on internal and external member materials workgroups. Coordinate involvement of other UCare staff to create and review workgroup enrollee materials as needed.
• Understand product benefits, coverage, and pricing information to ensure regulatory materials' accuracy.
• Consult with departments on member materials and work collaboratively across departments on various material-related projects.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred; demonstrated experience in the health care industry and regulations may be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Experience
At least one year of experience in health care or managed care organization, working with guidance and/or regulatory requirements. Experience in the use of content management software to create multiple versions from a template to develop and edit content of regulated materials. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Commercial regulations. Project management experience.
Preferred Experience
At least three years of experience with creation of regulated member materials for a managed care organization or health insurance company. Experience with member materials for Medicare and/or Individual Market products and associated regulations. Familiarity with health literacy principles and accessibility features for print and digital member materials. Experience in quality improvement; demonstrated process improvement skills.
