Job Details
Enrollment & Strategic Initiatives (ESI) at the University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking a Project Manager to oversee implementation, execution, and administration of the Department of Education Title III grant awarded to UW-Stout beginning in 2023 as well as conduct academic advising and advising project support in the Advisement Center. This 5-year position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor of ESI but will work closely with the Advisement Center Director and other campus units to manage, implement, and execute the grant, communicate processes throughout the university, liaise with Department of Education contacts, and obtain necessary permissions for changes/alterations to the pre-approved grant budget proposal. Some job duties may evolve as the needs of the grant change in the future. Continuation of the position relies on ongoing federal funding but may be extended after the end of the grant with university funding. Anticipated start date is March 1, 2024.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum / Required
- Master's Degree
- Experience working in education or non-profit institutions that deal with federal financial rules
- Ability to analyze, assess, and interpret program outcomes for multiple audiences
- Strong written and oral communication
- Exceptional prioritization and time management skills
- Leadership experience working with diverse stakeholders
- Experience working with large federal grants in a complex budgetary environment
- Experience working with university grant administration support staff
- Experience working with faculty and instructional academic staff in higher education
- Project management experience
Administrative Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of Title III grant administration
- Serve as primary campus contact with the US Department of Education
- Support establishment or expansion of projects stated in the grant
- Communicate effectively about grant initiatives, budgets, timelines, etc.
- Assist in program assessment
- Ensure program compliance
- Prepare and submit reports
- Develop and maintain Title III Policy and Procedures Manual
- Attend annual conference
- Receive, process, and respond to academic inquires
- Serve as main point of contact providing academic, cultural, and social advisement to assigned students
- Consult with academic program directors and work collaboratively with faculty and instructional academic staff
- Assist students with information and instructional technology: Access Stout, EAB Navigate, Canvas, campus resources, Transferology, etc.
- Maintain accurate case notes and records in EAB Navigate
- Welcome guests and students to campus as an active participant and presenter at First-Year Registration and Orientation (FYRO) and campus preview days
- Gather information regarding previously earned credits to assist in providing accurate course advising to assist in a student*s preparation for their first semester(s) at UW-Stout
- Assist the Director of Advising as needed
While this position will report to the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment & Strategic Initiatives, work will primarily occur within the Advisement Center, a department within ESI, which strives to challenge, support, and empower students to become independent and engaged citizens who take responsibility for achieving educational, personal, and career goals. With an emphasis on serving first year and undeclared students, and an advising philosophy grounded in psychosocial, cognitive, and career development theory, the Advisement Center provides a variety of unique services to support holistic student success.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Minimum annual starting salary of $58,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan, demonstrating our commitment to the diverse needs of our employees.
