SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST

Best Buy has an opening in Richfield, Minnesota for a Senior Data Scientist position. Utilize statistical and machine learning methods to dig deep into complex data to deliver data-driven solutions across all areas of the business. Leverage best practices from coding and software development & design to support building scalable, legible, and reproducible machine learning experiments. Support and contribute to the development of highly scalable systems based on machine learning techniques that provide batch and real-time scoring and inference as a service. Analyze, manipulate, or process large sets of data using statistical software. Develop and design algorithms to support the needs of all business areas. Develop statistical and machine learning models to drive efficient analysis. Identify business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis. Execute solutions to business problems utilizing statistical methods, machine learning methods, data analysis, and data mining. Write new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses. Work with business and analytics teams to scope, build, and enhance tools. There are multiple positions available. Requires Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field, plus at least 3 years of experience with (1) working on the development of machine learning and AI driven products or capabilities; (2) utilizing data mining frameworks; (3) utilizing data science/analytics programming language (Python, R, and/or Julia). At least 2 years of this experience must include utilizing high performance machine learning frameworks and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, and/or RAPIDs).
