PRODUCT TESTING

Best Buy Co. has an opening in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Senior Engineer – Product Testing. Design and build hardware and software test fixtures/resources in support of new product development. Research and define the procedures, technical measurement and observations that must be performed to assure product samples meet performance criteria established by the company. Evaluate product samples and document test results to determine whether hardware and software systems have met validation criteria. Develop validation test plans and perform measurements in accordance with technical specifications and usability requirements. Perform early test plan and test equipment development on development prototypes. Maintain lab PC's, PC test area, and other validation test equipment. Prepare performance qualification protocols for systems and equipment for production of company products. Full Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent foreign degree in an engineering or IT-based discipline, plus three years of experience in the following areas: (1) using, setting up, and configuring precision electronic engineering measurement equipment (IE Oscilloscope, video, audio signal generators, and HDMI analyzers); (2) using automation tools for hardware test equipment (Spectroradiometer, audio measurement, power suppliers, power meters, I/O Controllers and/or color analyzers); (3) operating system and software applications as well as software performance testing; and (4) using Microsoft Windows operating systems and associated PC hardware.
