Description: The pay range is $111,200.00 - $200,200.00

A role in Finance Capabilities means partnering with Finance, technology, Data Science and analytics leaders to co-create solutions that maximizes business value and enables key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly an owner and expert of your data solutions and underlying processes, you will set the vision, align on the roadmap and mobilize your team and partner teams to deliver needed outcomes. Given most strategies have a Finance impact, you will also serve as a trusted resource to guide other enterprise partners in their solutions to ensure the success and integrity of end-to-end deliverables.

About the job:

As a Sr Reporting Ops Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor and facilitator to the Finance Reporting Center of Excellence (COE) by bringing data and insights about our processes and adoption maturity into conversations and routines. You will leverage data analytics and change management experience to engage the COE in the creation and implementation of team routines that reflect efficient and well governed processes and reports. You will be responsible for bringing visibility to efficiency opportunities and developing and implementing solutions to drive toward greater efficiency - all measured through metric visualization and analysis and with a continuous improvement mindset. You are accountable for collaborating broadly across the reporting COE and respective finance business teams to improve our core competencies around measurement, change management, efficiency, and governance.

Your core responsibilities include:
  • Measure what matters: owns reporting COE health metrics, including setting goals and determining approaches to improve metrics
  • Champion change with confidence: Drive effective change management as teams embrace new ways of working with a reporting COE (both within COE and broader Finance)
  • Drive consistency: Drive toward consistency in metric definitions, presentation, and data sources across the COE and broader organization.
  • Identify and dismantle inefficiencies: Develops and advocates for best practices in tools, routines, documentation and communication across the reporting COE teams and with stakeholders

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of product ops, product management, data analytics, or change management and measurement experience
  • Strong ability to self-organize and lead through ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and quickly translate ideas between them - in easy-to-understand terminology across all levels of Finance
  • Ability to influence peers, partners, and senior leaders to find common ground, push for consistency where possible and navigate competing interests, with the ability to effectively facilitate cross-functional conversations
  • Change management experience and competency
  • Curiosity and passion for reporting, analytics, and problem solving
  • Intermediate SQL experience writing complex queries


This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
