Network Engineering Manager

Best Buy Co. has an opening, based out its corporate headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota, for the position of Network Engineering Manager. This position provides a telecommuting benefit, allowing the employee to live anywhere in the contiguous United States. Manage all areas of network security, including troubleshooting and improving current systems. Lead the development of network security capabilities using various technology solutions. Design, implement, and integrate support network security technologies. Work with senior engineering leadership, project management, architecture, business, technical, and network connectivity teams to achieve project delivery on network-related initiatives and to find creative solutions to customer issues. Provide users with technical support for computer problems. Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity. Stay abreast of advances in technology. Review and approve system charts and programs prior to implementation. Salary for position ranges from $184,870 to $229,986 per year, commensurate with experience. Full Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related IT field plus five years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in the following areas: (1) Monitoring network and network security devices for a Fortune 500 company with revenue in excess of $5 billion; (2) Supporting Firewalls and Proxies; (3) Working with VPN platforms (Cisco ASA, Sourcefire & Firepower); (4) Managing integrated service routers; and (5) Configuring EPG groups, DNS, VIPs, and DHCP. At least one year of the qualifying experience above must also include managing an engineering team.
