Here, we pride ourselves on designing tangible, inspiring, and impactful solutions that serve all aspects of our business- and being a part of the team means you will play a critical role for Target's digital experience by increasing ease, simplicity, value, and delight for every touchpoint.

About the role:

  • Develop content design for guest-facing experiences, synthesizing Target's tone and voice, guest needs, business requirements, and principles of UX.

  • Test, iterate, learn, and implement learnings into future projects as well as bringing them to a larger audience via style guides and cross-functional collaborations.

  • Act as a strategic thought leader in your space, proactively identifying and pursuing content opportunities within and across products.

  • Track the end-to-end communication flow and partner with stakeholders in service of consistency and cohesion.

  • Advocate for guest communication needs and priorities within the user experience team and beyond.

  • Conduct user experience research independently and in collaboration with the UX research team.

  • Help lead content-centered critiques, workshops, and skill development opportunities and mentor more junior members of the content design team.

  • Build a network of relationships to enable your vision in service of our guest experience and Target as a whole

About you:

  • Curiosity about the intersection of language and design in user experience and interest in exploring the boundaries of both

  • Advanced strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach and articulate your decisions

  • You balance the need for near-term solutions and long-term vision

  • Exhibit a growth mindset
