Description: The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

As an Accounting Manager in Property Accounting, you will be an active partner in accounting for Target's lease portfolio - with a focus on our dynamic store and supply chain environment. Your leadership presence will be beneficial as you partner with leaders in Real Estate, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that we are appropriately accounting for our Target real estate properties. You will be pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate period-end close, as well as reviewing key financial statement disclosures. Your aptitude for technical accounting will ensure that our real estate activities are in compliance with US GAAP.

You will collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis and Capital Finance to contribute to the review of key financial statement line items. You will work closely with Properties business teams to support lease accounting, reporting, and analysis. You will work on special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You will develop strong relationships in order to influence partners and provide decision support to teams across the company. You will drive innovation and use analytics to improve processes and maintain a strong internal control environment. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • B.A/B.S degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP (property accounting & lease accounting preferred)
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of initiative
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, organization, and analytical skills
  • Strong business partner, able to collaborate with teams across the organization Digital mindset (data analytics, technology, automation)


This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
