About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetings
  • Able to bring in existing client relationships as well as identify and pursue additional business development opportunities
  • Leadership of a technical or project related team
  • Prepare proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects
  • Develop and execute project scope
  • Prepare complex engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions
  • Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards
  • Provide work direction and train junior engineering staff

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering program required
  • Six or more years of experience performing work as a geotechnical engineer
  • Five or more years of Colorado specific engineering experience
  • Project management and managing client relationships
  • Lead and provide work directions to junior engineers
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Professional Engineer registration/licensure (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a periodic basis
  • Ability to work 45 – 60 hours per week as necessary in accordance with job/services provided to customers

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Eight or more years of experience performing work as a geotechnical engineer
  • Direct CMT Experience either through performance or management (ability to manage or cross-sell)
  • Leadership experience or capability
  • Supervision experience or capability
  • Existing client relationships in industry
  • Industry Association involvement
