As a member of Heliene’s Senior Management Team, reporting to the Chief Growth and Corporate Services Officer, the Director of Corporate IMIT Services leads our Corporate IMIT Services group and drives IMIT initiatives that enable our strategic plan and drive growth. This includes using their experience to initially build and periodically adjust the department to contribute to the company’s overall strategy. 

Heliene is currently undertaking an IMIT Operations Review to support our growth plans and you will have a leadership opportunity to frame and build out this alignment effort. You will translate and shape the draft findings of the review into an IMIT Operations Plan that includes organizational, process and technical architecture changes and will oversee the projects to implement the plan. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and day-to-day operations of IMIT infrastructure, including servers, network, desktops/laptops, and productivity devices. 
  • Oversee the end-user support, maintenance, and integration of corporate business applications. 
  • Clarify, develop, and implement a vision, strategy and plan for Corporate IMIT that innovates, drives efficiencies and supports corporate business objectives. 
  • Identify, plan, lead, and prioritize IMIT initiatives that will enable growth. 
  • Design, implement and maintain effective cybersecurity measures that both protect Heliene and enable growth. 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with cybersecurity measures, information security policies, insurance requirements, and industry regulations and standards. 
  • Plan and lead IMIT Business Continuity, Recover and Resiliency efforts as part of the Heliene’s larger Business Continuity Plan. 
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements/performance standards to the needs of the business including cost effectiveness. 
  • Recruit, build and mentor an IMIT Services Team dedicated to delivering superior service to our employees, and contributes to the company’s strategic vision. 
  • Monitor IMIT expenditures and reallocate resources to achieve strategic objectives and operational commitments. 

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science (or related discipline) or in business administration with a specialty in business systems/information technology, with a minimum of 10 years in progressive experience in IMIT leadership roles that demonstrate leading teams, operations accountabilities and managing corporate initiatives.

In addition to experience demonstrating the responsibilities of this position, the following qualifications will also be considered: 

  • Microsoft 365 – Must have experience with administering and managing an enterprise-wide Microsoft 365 deployment including the use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Azure. 
  • OnPrem and Cloud – Must have experience with on-premises and cloud-based systems and architecture, particularly with corporate deployments and business line applications  
  • (e.g. Financials/Accounting, H/R, Manufacturing/Production Control, etc.,) 
  • IMIT Services Vendor Management – Must have experience negotiating contracts with and managing the day-to-day delivery of services of IMIT support services vendors. 
  • Accountability for IMIT – Must be comfortable with taking the lead and owning IMIT accountabilities at the enterprise level and owning the responsibility for decisions that will shape and enable the organizations growth. 
  • Sector Experience – Experience in a manufacturing environment with integrated application suites (production planning, inventory control, materials management, and logistics, etc.,) is an asset. 
  • Delivering Excellent Client Experiences – Experience leading an organization that is based on a culture of service delivery excellence.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to reframe technical issues into business language with clear and confident recommendations and issue resolutions. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, PMP, etc.) with a demonstrated history of continuing professional development and keeping current with industry trends, technology advancement and regulatory changes is an asset. 
  • Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally (Canada and US).
