Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties including, but not limited to, preparing, maintaining, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger accounts. This position also provides accounting support for assigned Ecumen-owned facilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in month-end close process by reviewing and analyzing data, performing account reconciliations and related journal entries for assigned accounts including, but not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc.
- Maintains detailed supporting schedules or workpapers.
- Supports capital lease and fixed asset processes.
- Assists with fixed asset maintenance including placing assets in service and monthly reconciliations.
- Partners with other Accounting team members to provide accounting support for assigned facilities.
- Assists with implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures in compliance with GAAP.
- Provides support for external audits.
Accountant Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Experience: 1-2 years of related accounting experience
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) and related technologiesï
- Microsoft Office experience; basic to intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of G.A.A.P.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Oracle cloud experience
- Non-profit, senior living and/or healthcare experience
