Position Summary
The Substitute Coordinator manages the substitute teacher program at CDH. This role hires, trains and schedules substitute teachers. The Substitute Coordinator also performs the duties of an in-house substitute teacher, providing classroom instruction and management to students in grades 9 through 12. As a teacher, this position works closely with school administration to ensure that students meet all established academic and behavioral standards.

- Compile and maintain a roster of current and available substitute teachers
- Hire and train new teachers
- Manage substitute request process, including responding to teacher requests in a timely manner and scheduling substitutes to ensure class coverage
- Work closely with full-time teachers to ensure that lesson plans are current and accessible to the substitutes
- Perform classroom teaching duties
- Participate in all professional development, training and in-service programs

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Infinite Campus, and other position-specific software programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven attention to detail, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards
- Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with various constituencies including students, faculty, staff, families, alumni and vendors
Required Education and Experience
All employees of CDH are required to successfully complete the “Essential 3” requirements set forth by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis prior to beginning their employment. Employees must remain in compliance with these requirements throughout their employment at CDH.

SALARY
The annual salary for this position is $35,000-$37,000. This position follows the school calendar and the salary is based on the number of teacher work days in the year. This annual salary will be pro-rated depending on start date.
