The Facilities Director is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of facility related functions across the campus. This includes oversight of maintenance, environmental services, and project management. These responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with current MMH, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, and as directed by the administrator, to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

The Facilities Director is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of facility related functions across the campus. This includes oversight of maintenance, environmental services, and project management. These responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with current MMH, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, and as directed by the administrator, to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.
QUALIFUCATIONS:
- 5 years of relevant exp. with facilities and project management; supervisory experience and daily operations preferably in a health care setting.
- Post secondary education in the areas of building maintenance, HVAC, project management, business management preferred.
- Knowledgeable in building systems (including aging buildings), including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structure and emergency systems.
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and project management software.
- Ability to work closely with vendors including contract negotiations and maintaining on-going, positive relationships.
- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment (ie. NFPA, OSHA, and Nursing Home Regulations)
- Must be analytical and have the ability to make independent decisions.
- Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
- Most possess excellent communication skills and ability to work harmoniously with staff, residents, family members, government agencies, vendors and the general public.
- Must possess a strong financial aptitude including budget development, operating within budgetary constraints and responding to budgetary variances by taking appropriate actions.
- Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to perform physical job demands of position.
- Exercises confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
