Television Production Technician
House Public Information Services
Full-time temporary at will positions are available with the Minnesota House of Representatives as television production technicians for the nonpartisan Public Information Services office. Candidates with part-time availability may be considered.
Duties are to assist in production and technical operations for video coverage of House activity during the 2025 legislative session. The House operates two full-capability TV control rooms for production of committee hearings, floor sessions and press conferences, and three workstations using vMix production and streaming software for committee hearing and press conference production. Staff roles include technical director, vMix operator, audio/camera robotics operator, graphics operator, ENG videographer, and streaming producer.
An ideal candidate will have experience with technical directing, character generator systems, working in video control rooms, streaming/video conferencing software, and a background in all aspects and techniques of live television production. Some long and irregular hours may be required.
Salary range is $28.35 - $51.02 / hour, commensurate with experience. These positions are anticipated to begin in early January and run approximately through the end of May, depending on session length.
