The Manager - Dining Services is responsible for ensuring our Ecumen communities adhere to the highest standards of customer service, dining experience quality, and cost efficiency. This position involves surpassing regulatory requirements by incorporating customer feedback into department practices. This position also offers direct support to communities in times of need while upholding the integrity of the department.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and trains the standard processes for food and supply ordering.
- Trains dining teams on the menus, recipes, and systems Ecumen utilizes to meet the nutritional needs of our customers.
- Coaches dining teams on the dining policies and documentation for inspections related to the dining department.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, orientation and training of new dining leaders.
- Conducts routine sanitation audits in all Ecumen dining locations and ensures sanitation standards are enforced. Directs team members to the sanitation standards.
- Conducts site kitchen equipment review and assists with replacement options.
- Provides community on-site dining support during periodical times of need. This may include overnight stays dictated by fluctuating business demands.
- Stays abreast with food trends, regulatory changes and updates as well as continuing education requirements.
Manager - Dining Services Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree
- Certified Food Manager in accordance with MN Department of Health (CFPM)
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent
- Five years of food service leadership or management experience in large scale operations
- Previous experience in inventory control, food cost analysis, menu planning
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Management or similar
- Previous experience in providing food service management for a senior living establishment
